Activ Training can be added to Activ Appraisals to give your administrators access to complete reporting on employee training and professional development activity that supports their job role on day to day basis.

 

A job description / role can be created within the system to provide a useful, plain-language tool that explains the skills and competencies that would be required for that position. This can be a vital tool providing details of who can performs a specific type of work. By maintaining up to date job descriptions with the required skills sets this can be useful in career planning, offering training exercises and establishing legal requirements for compliance purposes.

 

Job descriptions provide an employee with a clear and concise resource to be used as a guide for job performance and reviewed during the appraisal or performance review. Likewise, a line manager can use a job description as a measuring tool to ensure that the employee is meeting job expectations.

FAQ's

  • Is Activ Training easily accessible to all employees?

    Yes. Every employecan use their Activ login to access to the Activ Training module. HR and Line Manager access provides to ability to create training course information for employees to undertake. Employees can then complete their training record to add feedback on the course undertaken together with attaching any evidence of attendance. 

  • Can we capture what training has been undertaken by an employee?

    Yes. Activ Training profiles are created for every employee that can record any type of training and CPD activity that has been undertaken. Every training record enables you to capture the reason, key dates, cost, feedback and how it has impacted the employee’s skill level. Documentary evidence of attendance can be attached to confirm the course was completed. 

  • Can HR be alerted when training has not been completed by a required date?

    Yes. Activ Training can be configured with specific reminder email alerts to notify the employee, line manager or HR of an upcoming training course and when a course has not been completed by the required date. 

  • Can we record skill levels for specific job roles within the organisation?

    Yes. Job roles with a full job description, skill and required competency levels can be defined and managed in Activ TrainingSkills can then be reviewed on a regular basis and updated depending on what training has been undertaken. Skills can also be reviewed as part of your performance review process and is integrated with Activ Appraisals for review by employees and line managers.

  • On completion of training, can employee skills levels be easily updated?

    Yes. The employee training record will be automatically updated for the specific skill and level on training completion and reflected in the skills matrix report. 

  • Can we capture any planned or CPD activity?

    Yes. Any type of personal development activity can be recorded in Activ Training to ensure all learning is captured and the impact on the employee skill level reviewed 

  • Can we see a history of the employee’s qualifications?

    Yes. The training record enables the organisation to capture information on the employee’s qualifications, professional membership, and past job experience. This can support any proposed succession planning activity for identifying and developing new leaders as you will be able to search the availability of any experienced and capable employees that are prepared to assume these roles as they become available. 

  • Can HR run a report on what training has been undertaken?

    Yes. The reporting tools in Activ Training enable you to specify what data you want to report against within your organisation  employee, department or all the company. Then select training category, course, supplier, trainer and date range to filter the data you need and then view the report online or download via CSV or XLS formats.
