      Features

      Managing skills and competencies

Activ Training can be added to Activ Appraisals to give your administrators access to complete reporting on employee training and professional development activity that supports their job role on day to day basis.

A job description / role can be created within the system to provide a useful, plain-language tool that explains the skills and competencies that would be required for that position. This can be a vital tool providing details of who can performs a specific type of work. By maintaining up to date job descriptions with the required skills sets this can be useful in career planning, offering training exercises and establishing legal requirements for compliance purposes.

Job descriptions provide an employee with a clear and concise resource to be used as a guide for job performance and reviewed during the appraisal or performance review. Likewise, a line manager can use a job description as a measuring tool to ensure that the employee is meeting job expectations.

      Continuous staff development

Activ Training provides a useful tool for record keeping for training courses across the organisation. Maintaining a log of training records for your company is of paramount importance. Making sure all details are up to date so you can identify who has attended what course will enable you to identify gaps in employee records.

Activ Training helps to reduce staff turnover as training needs can be identified at each stage from induction to senior management. Career development of staff can be managed easier as the system enables you to identify employees who are suitable for promotion opportunities and can be identified through the reporting if you have skill requirements for a particular vacancy. For example, if you have a vacancy for a Finance Manager you can run a report searching the training records for finance and accountancy qualifications.
